Biography: Mariam has been working in the mental health sector for the last eleven years.

Recognition: Founder of the Child & Family Foundation Center Mariam was elected as a committee member of the Middle Eastern Psychological Association (MEPA) in 2017 and re-elected in 2019 and is serving as Director of the Bahraini Chapter.  She was awarded the “Smart Healthcare Leaders Award” in recognition of her contribution to Psychology in the November 2018. In March 2019 Mariam won the “Bahrain Women Achiever’s Award 2019” from the Royal Hospital for Women & Children. Mariam received an IFAH Award in 2020 for her work in Mental Health. She was selected as Vestire Women of 2020 and subsequently as Bahrain’s Most Influential Women of 2020.

Goals: One of Mariam’s goals is spreading the message of breaking the stigma of mental health in the MENA region.
